Throughout the UK, the costs and arrangements can vary greatly. Therefore, it becomes important for you to discuss all the important issues with us or with a local independent funeral director after your plan gets completed. Don’t hesitate to call to discuss your requirements and for further information.

  • What If I Die While Away From Home Or On A Holiday?

From anywhere in the UK, the funeral director will ensure collection, but a fee may apply. Repatriation costs will be incurred, if you die overseas. Please review that your general travel insurance policy covers this.

  • How Do I Make Payment For My Funeral Plan?

There are different types of payment methods. We offer an easy payment gateway on this website, or you can make payment by either cheque or bank transfer. We also offer an easy payment method where you can pay over a number of months, which is either interest free over 12 months or up to 5 years by direct debit. If you have more queries regarding the payment methods, then call us or contact us through an email to discuss payment.

  • What Happens If I Die Before Making The Full Payment?

Don’t Worry the plan you have selected will continue as you wanted and your family members or estate will pay the remaining balance.

  • Will My Money Be Safe?

You’ll be making payments to a secure and independently managed trust fund. The Trust manages the funds to achieve stable long-term growth and is overseen independently by a board of trustees and regulated in compliance with The Financial Services & Markets Act 2001. The fund is annually independently audited and subject to strict actuarial reporting, it is solid, stable and above all, secure.

  • Do I Get To Choose My Funeral Director?

We will recommend an independent funeral director from our network, that is local to you. If you wish to nominate your own please confirm below. Golden Leaves will make every effort to allocate your plan to your selected funeral director, however this is not always possible. In this event, we will contact you to advise you of this and discuss an alternative choice before processing your application.

  • Is There Any Guarantee That The Chosen Funeral Director Will Accept The Plan?

In the majority of cases and situations the answer is yes, but across the UK funeral directors and disbursement costs can be significantly different. The issue of plan prices can be raised with us directly by the Funeral Director you have chosen. Don’t worry at all because we will not ask for any additional costs or charges unless you agree with them.

  • Am I Supposed To Add Disbursements?

We do recommend it, but you don’t have to do it. Currently set at £1,100.00, if you decide to add a contribution towards disbursements, then it will be covered whenever the situation demands. Unfortunately, the rate at which disbursement costs increase is not in the control of the funeral director because these costs are not set by them.

  • Can My Plan Be Personalized?

The plans are bespoke to your wishes. First, you have to choose one of our existing plans, and then you get an amazing opportunity to personalize the plan with your own preferences such as flowers, hymns, songs, readings, donations, charity etc.

  • Is The Company Owned Independently?

Arrange My Funeral is a privately owned UK based company which is successfully operating for many years now.

  • What If I Change My Location?

We offer funeral plans that are completely portable. It will be re-allocated to a funeral director locally in that area.
